Friends of the Library

Library supporters can make financial donations to Friends of the Library or become a member. For more information click here.

 

The Friends of the Pennsauken Free Public Library invite you to join them in their vision to improve the library by purchasing a leaf on Ira’s Tree of Knowledge.

The Friends are committed to maintaining the library as a dynamic community resource center through Ira’s Tree of Knowledge and other fundraising projects.  Click here to learn more about Ira’s Tree of Knowledge.

Donations

The Library accepts donations of books and other materials. Please check the guidelines below to confirm that your donation will be accepted.

Donation Guidelines:

  • Hardcover & paperback books used/new in GOOD condition for resale, book bundling, and giveaways
  • Audiobooks on CD, DVDs, and music CDs
  • New (Unopened) Board Games and Puzzles
  • Video Games ( Nintendo Switch, PS4/PS5 and Xbox Series games only)

WE CANNOT ACCEPT:

  • Badly worn, marked up, stained, musty, or moldy items
  • Magazines or Journals
  • Encyclopedias
  • VHS tapes, cassette tapes, computer games, or vinyl records
  • Computer, business, medical, or travel guides more than 2 years old

Please DO NOT leave books at the entrance or circulation desk.

DO NOT use a trash bag.

Due to limited space, we can only accept:

  • 2 shopping bags of donations at a time
  • 2 boxes of donations at a time

Please pack items in sturdy bags or boxes, and check that the contents meet our guidelines. Our volunteers have found a range of personal items (including wedding photos), and it is usually impossible to return them to the owner.

Step Up For STREAM

Friends of the Pennsauken Free Public Library's Step Up For STREAM is a way to raised money to help the library acquire the tools, equipment, materials, and resources necessary to provide a framework for the community to engage in lifelong Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STREAM) programs and services.
